BENTONVILLE

Get to Know Bentonville

Bentonville is most widely known as the hometown of Sam Walton, a business entrepreneur and founder of Walmart. While this has been Walmart’s corporate headquarters since 1962, the town has most recently gained attention for its wonderful culture.

When the Wall Street Journal named Bentonville an up-and-coming culinary scene in 2014, the town exploded with great dining options. Today, you can stop into one of the local breweries and grab a pint or dine at one of the farm-to-table restaurants like The Hive. No matter where you end up, you’ll find serious cuisine, unique concepts, and a relaxed atmosphere.

Bentonville is known by cyclists as having the best single-track trails, paved pathways, and on-road routes in North America. In addition to world-ranked trails, you have access to world-class museums like Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art and The Momentary, as well as decades of history at the Museum of Native American History, and plenty of interactive fun at Amazeum children’s museum.

Boutique shopping is at its best around Downtown Bentonville. There’s also the 8th Street Market, located in the Downtown Market District, which is home to an ever-growing list of new shops, restaurants, and events. If you feel like catching a movie, Skylight Cinema is an innovative entertainment and dining destination. And for live music, you can’t miss Meteor Guitar. It’s a musical instrument store, event, and concert venue located in a restored 100-year-old movie theater.
