Bella Vista

Get to know Bella Vista

The breathtaking town of Bella Vista was first established in 1917 as a summer resort destination. Located just north of Bentonville, its northern border is the Missouri state line. Oak and hickory forests, along with valleys, creeks, and steep rises, characterize the city's beautiful topography.

In 1965, Bella Vista became a retirement community and officially became an incorporated city in 2006. Amenities include numerous parks, clubhouses with workout areas, swimming pools, five 18-hole golf courses, two nine-hole golf courses, seven lakes with fishing and boat docks (three ski lakes), a marina, swimming beach, putt-putt golf courses and tennis courts, dog park, softball field, and extensive hiking and biking trails. It’s an outdoor lover’s dream.

The town continues to progress as a thriving, active community and a world-class mountain biking and outdoor lifestyle destination. Builders have completed nearly 100 miles of hiking and mountain biking trails in recent years, which presents an immense economic opportunity for the city in the way of tourism and attracting new residents.
